2018 Summer Kick Off Party

June 23, 2018

We kicked off summer Wild Heron style June 23, 2018 in our all new Event Lawn! Over 200 people attended with live music, free food & lots of neighborly fun! Special thanks to Jeff Breining for the video!

Lakefront Boathouse and Docks

Wild Heron homeowners are welcome to enjoy the free use of kayaks and canoes from the Lakefront Boathouse to explore Lake Powell, one of Florida's largest rare coastal dune lakes. It's the perfect place to fish or just sit and enjoy the views. Sunsets just look better from the docks at Wild Heron. The Wild Heron Lakefront Boathouse is also the perfect place for family gatherings, with gas grills, tree swings, a bonfire pit, and more. If you love being by the water, Wild Heron is the place to be!

Heated Pool and Hot Tub

Wild Heron homeowners and their guests are welcome to take a dip in the massive lakeview community pool. It's heated during the winter months and into the spring until the Florida sun takes over! Soak the stress of the day away in the hot tub. The pool area is complete with chaise lounges, chairs, tables, umbrellas and covered seating.

Family Park

Remember the old days when as kids we'd ride our bikes down to the park and play for hours?  The original creators of Wild Heron thought about those days and designed a centralized family park like those of the past. The park is complete with a playground, walking paths and gazebo and is located at Prospect Point.

Walking Paths

At Wild Heron, bikers, hikers and nature lovers will never want for a place to walk and explore. Wild Heron walking paths have access to the newly created Gayle's Trails, part of the Panama City Beach Conservation Park (2,912 acres of total area - with 24 miles of trails and 1 mile of boardwalk).

Health Club

Wild Heron residents can stay healthy in the lakeside state-of-the-art fitness center.  The exercise quipment includes treadmills, stationary bikes, stair climbers, free weights, & nautilus machines. Locker rooms with showers are available.

Lakeside Fire Pit

In the tradition of being a Coastal Sanctuary, Wild Heron features a lakeside Fire Pit. It's the perfect place for gathering to socialize with neighbors and friends, share stories, and of course even make some s'mores.

Lake Powell

Wild Heron is located right on Lake Powell, the largest coastal dune lake in Florida. Lake Powell has been awarded the coveted “Pristine Florida Waterway” designation. Fishing, Boating, Sailing, and Swimming are constant occurances on the water.

*Coastal dune lakes are lakes that occur in coastal communities along the Gulf of Mexico. The lakes are rare ecosystems only found in the Florida Panhandle, Madagascar, Australia, and New Zealand. They are freshwater systems that intermittently exchange water with the Gulf of Mexico through a meandering outlet. The periodic opening and closing is what makes coastal dune lakes so unique.
